Bank Lending
We advise both lenders and borrowers on syndicated
and bilateral loans, secured finance, bond issues and other debt
raising exercises in Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China and
throughout the Asia Pacific region. The finance team has acted on
power project financings, telecommunications financings, property
finance and acquisition finance. In addition, we advise on banking

Debt Restructuring
The finance team has acted on many of the large
financial restructurings which have taken place in Hong Kong in
recent years. In particular, we represented the Guangdong Provincial
Government and the companies within the Guangdong Development Enterprises
Group on their comprehensive corporate and debt restructuring with
a total deal value of almost US$6 billion. The transaction was awarded
"Restructuring Deal of the Year" by International Financial
Law Review. We can assist companies and creditors in connection
with negotiations for workouts, standstill agreements, rescheduling
of debt, resolution of default problems and handling bond-holder
formalities and disputes.
